May Day, Labor Day

Today, on May 1st is a day laborer. In various countries held a ceremony to commemorate the day laborers. Not least in Indonesia the workers also held a massive demonstration. As usual Bundaran HI, DPR-MPR, the Presidential Palace and the Palace of the Vice President becomes the destination demo. 15 000 police will be at the muster to secure workers’ demo this time.

It is reported that President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is scheduled to lunch with the workers at a factory in Tangerang, Banten as a manifestation to participate commemorate the day laborers.

One of the demands of the workers this time is the existence of social security reforms. As we now know many of the workers who were dissatisfied with the Jamsostek service. Not to mention social security are not satisfied with the other. The workers demanded the improvement of welfare of workers.
